Every year for as long as I can remember, my NYR is to eat less processed cheese. I don't eat much processed cheese, so my resoultion is easy. It is the smell of Velveeta when you tear into that foil. . . puke. Then there is the cheese in the can. Hubby preferrs the bacon flavored cheddar. Again, puke. My real weakness is mac&cheese. I like to put tomatoes, green beans (french cut, of course) and hot sauce on my M&C, mmmmmm. Oh, but I digress.
The NYR I never tell people is that I want to get leaner and meaner. I want to drink less Busch Light, wine, vodka and cut out smokes all together. I figure that I can let myself down, but not my adoring public. I KNOW that I should have higher standards for myself than I expect other people to have of me, but I don't. I let myself down constantly, but you will never know. Dagnamit, this blog is broadcasting my personal issues - sigh.
I think, secretly, that we are all like this.
So, here you go. . .my real NYR is to. . . gulp. . . eat less processed cheese. What is yours?

I'll admit it - mine is to eat better, get leaner, and definitely to get meaner. I'll be one of the 42 trillion that has the same goal; I'm not afraid to admit it. It's kinda nice to blend into a crowd ...
Oh, and one more - to get a computer so I can start my own blog.
I just signed up for nutrisystem - praise be.
Jenkins - drink lots of water. Per our earlier discussions of kidney failure.
Seriously, isn't anyone going to comment on that weird picture of the naked lady laying on a block of Velveeta - the missing link in the dietary chain. Somewhere between a plastic lawn chair and a tube of sausage, Velveeta was born.
My NYR's:
Be less judgemental (ouch), drink more water, travel more, try to take myself less seriously, and of course, have a sweet enough bod to pose on Velveeta cheese ads.
