Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn, Say What?

Today, on the mean streets of Helena, I was harassed by a Holiday Inn "security" guard.

Let this be a lesson to all who park in downtown Helena. If any of you park in the Holiday Inn parking lot, an evil man is hiding in the shadows, will stock you to your destination, and threaten to tow your car if you don't move it, even if you're just trying to purchase a sandwich and go on your merry way.

Sheesh. Helena is a rough place. Or I should take this as another sign and stop driving to work for good. Some of you might be familiar with my "boot" experience. Will I ever learn?

Damn the man!!! Free parking for all, everywhere, any time!

Was it the developmentally disabled dude that sweeps the sidewalk? We had a similar run-in. I was pretty sure hubby was going to push him down. Luckily I was there to save the day. Super me. I had to calmly explain to hubby that people who are developmentally disabled don't understand subtle gestures such as making fists and yelling. He gets it now.

At least you didn't have the man on the streets asking you, "Do you have a moment for the environment?" (See blog entry at www.slapdashdoc.blogspot.com) I literally got that one while in Seattle walking around yesterday. I honestly and quite proudly said, "Actually, no I don't." What I should have said, according to jdoc, was, "I spend 8 hours per day, and lately 12 hours per day working for the environment, so NO I DON"T STUPID HO!!" But here's a shout out for all the volunteers who get crap on the streets for a job that never gets a thank you - we DO NEED YOU, I was just on my way to the airport.....
