I am not a holidays person per se. I am working on it. So in a small attempt to unscrouge for about 5 minutes, I will participate in Thursday Next's meme. Here we go. Wee!
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Neither. I am more of a Hot Toddy girl, since last weekend at least. I think I had some bad nog as a kid and hot coco gives me a wicked bad headache. Now baileys and Coffee, now you have my attention.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa is my mother in law. Santa wraps gifts and then ships them from Florida. The best part is that she gives little hints on the tags as to what the gift may be. They are hilarious. She loves Christmas. She is a good example for me.
3. Colored lights on tree or white? WHITE WHITE WHITE. I will take a photo of "Woodstock" our Christmas tree. Shabby is a compliment, but with the white lights and the weird collection of our childhood ornaments he is quite charming.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? No, but I want some!
5. When do you put your decorations up? They are about 1/2 way up. With a little under two weeks to spare. . .
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Lefsa. Without a doubt. Lefsa. Oh, wait that might not be a dish. Lefsa with butter and sugar.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Watching my brother open gifts. HILARIOUS!
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Stupid Cousin Mike. Funkiller.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? With divorced parents, sometimes Christmas Eve is Christmas. This year it will be Mom's Great Falls Christmas.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Wait and see.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? LOVE IT! SKIING BABY!
12. Can you ice skate? Weak ankles. Painful childhood memories. In other words - if falling down on the ice is skating then, yes, yes I can ice skate.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Yes. Our house, three years ago, our offer was accepted on Christmas Eve.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? I should say something about family, but right now, it is going to be TIME OFF WORK!
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Auntie's cheesecake.
16. What tops your tree? Silver star thingy.
17. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? Giving, I love to think about people using the gifts I get them.
18. What is your favorite Christmas Song? "Silent Night" we used to sing it in church on Christmas Eve with all of the lights off.
19. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Yummy.
20. What do you serve for Christmas dinner? What, me cook? Ha! That is what my family is for.
