California to Colorado to Montana

Denver author Chris Duerksen on Tuesday told attendees of the fifth Big Sky or Big Sprawl Conference that western Montana is looking a lot like Colorado did 25 years ago — which in turn looks like California in the 1930s. “It’s spooky to see the growth patterns,” he said. Duerksen is widely seen as one of the country’s foremost authorities on growth planning.

Great - anyone who has ever been to Denver realizes the frightening effects of poor planning. Sprawl sprawl everywhere without a public transport to link.

Awesome. Not. I used to joke that if things got bad around here, I would buy a place in the mountains, raise goats and shoot whoever came on my property. Looks like I had better invest soon, cuz there might not be much left. Unless I move to Jordan, MT, where my shootin idea isn't original.

** Missed this one the first time. It is the APOCOPLYPSE PEOPLE!

Yeah, but the down side to all of this is if you move to Jordan Montana, you will officially be known to the folk of Jordan Montana as that "crazy, liberal witch" or as they say "Lesberins".

Please don't move to Jordan Montana, just kill people in Helena. We both know THEY ALL HAVE IT COMING!

As a resident of Denver who is counting the days until J is finished with grad school and we can pack up the moving van and get the hell out of here, I have to agree. The only bright spot here is the new light rail system, which is wildly popular. At least Denver has nice parks for me to poop in, but my Great Oppressors would never be able to live here permanently. I shudder to think of Montana turning into the Front Range.
