Fabulous News! Bad News. . .

A Great Falls state judge Wednesday invalidated three ballot measures aiming to rein in government powers, citing what he called a "pervasive and general pattern of fraud" by out-of-state signature-gatherers.

I wish I had time to write how I feel about each of these, but let me sum them up with BAD, BAD, BAD. The underlying issue is that some rich rich government hater is bringing his millions out here to manipulate us into hobbling our government.

Cece in MT has several GREAT articles about these ballot initiatives.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"If you give us (women) a chance, we can perform. Afterall Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, only backwards and in high heels." - Ann Richards

"I did not want my tombstone to read, 'She kept a really clean house.' I think I'd like them to remember me by saying, 'She opened government to everyone.'" - Ann Richards (who appointed more women and minorities to government than anyone in the history of Texas government).

I would like to imagine for just one moment that Ann had won her re-election bid insteaded of losing to GW. Do you think the world would be different today - you bet your ass it would.

Ann, you are an amazing politician and feministst and you will be missed!
