Here at my post, I am either CRAZY Busy, or Crazy unbusy. Right now it is the latter. I have about 4 things to do during the day and instead of being a conservationist and spreading them thinly out throughout the day, I will probably plow through them at 100 miles per hour and then sit here and wonder what in the hell I am going to do for the rest of the 8.5 painful hours I am trapped here. I am at the tipping point, however, it could turn any day now.
Seriously, I would prefer Crazy Busy. At least the days go by faster. . .
There is a light at the end of the tunnel, I only have to work three days this week. Then I am off to Washington DC. . . for my other job. My volunteer board member job.
Does anyone have any restaurant recommendations while I am there?
The last time I was there, was the breakthrough trip with my mom. I was in college and she took me with her on a business trip. It was a major tipping point in my life. When she became less of my mom and more of my friend. The apex was the giant screaming/crying/knock down drag out fight we got into in the hotel. We are lucky we didn't get arrested. I told her everything that she did to piss me off for the last 20 years, she did the same. We fell asleep and apologized the next day, and just like that, all of the nasty crap we had done was gone and forgiven. Then we spotted Monica Lewinski near the Watergate. Or at least we were convinced that we had. The Magnolias were blooming. . .
