Shout Out!

I love it when I find a new blog - or in this case a BRILLIANT blog found me. Check it.

Eyre Affairs

Amy (Thursday Next) writes eloquently about her distaste for Ann Coulter along with whip smart lyrical writing about her life. I say go for the ball girl job at Yankee Stadium! It never ceases to amaze me about how people can write so beautifully about their deep inner thoughts and feelings and then I come stumbling along and totally relate their words to my happenings in my life. Thank you.

AND Thank you for making me think about Jane Eyre. My mom used to read JE to me before I bed. I was in that icky pre-teen era and really wanted to turn on the tube or read the latest babysitters club book. She was relentless and would read to me while we snacked on granny smith apples and farmers cheese.

I love JE, too. I felt like her. An orphan who reads and doesn't really feel at home. Actually, I'm probably more like Bertha, the crazy woman in the attic!

AUTO!

Oh my gosh.

You made my night!

I cant thank you enough for your kind words.

I love your sass when it comes to politics; your writing is whip smart, too, my dear!

How lovely that your mom read you JE before bed with grannysmith apples and cheese. That is poetry in and of itself. I think that the novel lends itself to being shared between a mother and daughter. Jane is so strong, and its so important to reinforce to young girls how important it is to keep one's resolve. ;)

BTW....looooved Babysitters Club! Did you ever read the Sweet Valley High books?
