Bozeman = Expensive and Lame

This is going to come as no surprise to anyone who lives in this state, but the median price for homes in Bozeman, MT are double the median price for homes in Great Falls. It is the sticker price that is the shocker:

The median price of single family homes in Bozeman is more than double Great Falls' median home price. So far in 2006 136 homes have sold in Bozeman, with a median price of $336,000. That up 20 percent from $279,950 during the same time period last year. Factor in condominiums and townhouse and the median selling price for single-family dwellings during the first four months of 2006 was $262,500, up 23.2 percent from $213,000 during the same time in 2005.
"You really can't get anything for under $200,000 here," said Deanna Tarum of the Gallatin Association of Realtors.

$336,000! I am sorry, but "you really can't get anything for under $200,000 here!" WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THAT PLACE?!?!? Where do the poor people live? No Belgrade is the wrong answer, they were pushed out of there too, try Three Forks, or Livingston? Raise your hand if you can afford to pay the mortgage on $200,000. Anyone? Anyone? No one? Shocking. The other number they should report is the Median income across the state - you won't be surprised to see that Bozeman is similar to what the rest of Montanans make.

I could go on for HOURS about how Bozeman and the f-ing rich out of staters suck. . . but I won't. I will, however, leave you with this little doozie.

P.S. please tell all of your friends, Helena sucks. Definitely not worth moving here, people are weird, water is bad, it is ugly.
