Okay, so apparently school shootings are becoming such a commonplace news item that they don't even make TOP HEADLINES! I searched MSNBC and CNN endlessly for the headline, I finally had to use the search engine. NPR hasn't even talked about the shooting.
It happened YESTERDAY. I mean, shit, I guess there was only one student shot. . . no wait. . . A STUDENT WAS SHOT IN SCHOOL. Is no place safe? I love all of the blogs out there trying to place blame, Marilyn Manson, Caffeine Drinks, Feminists. I personally blame guns. That is all I am going to say.
Also, this royally sucks.
Why don't we just punch each other in the face anymore?

as a teacher, this topic is a very sore spot for me. i did applaud "bowling for colombine" because i think moore did explore real roots of the problem, including gun control and society's skewed sense of values.
I heard something on NPR about it but then forgot about it appeared nowhere else. So sad ...
If it's not guns that cause problems and it's the gun users, then why do we ban drugs? I don't get it.
Even with my high level of dislike for the Broncos, I am very sad to see that the TE was shot and killed. Very sad. He was extremely talented.
Remeber the days in school when all you had to worry about was getting a "pink belly" or pushed into your locker. Oh, Sixteen Candles where for art thou? Or can't we all work at a record store and make our own prom dress out of pink satan and some lace? Ducky, is that you? Such were simpler times.
Uhm, this is a very serious issue, especially to those of us with children. Kids today are all fucked up. makes me so mad and sick at the same time, there is really no way to describe it.
on a lighter note, making dresses out of pink SATAN? The prince of darkness and all the is evil? Now that is a dress we all can slip into.
