Hangover Thursday

Every summer Wednesday night in Helena is Alive at 5. A band, a beer garden and the hippest young and old people in Helena crammed into a park. I used to go to every freakin' one of them, but for some reason, this summer I have only been to two. Why the drop of in attendance you ask. I believe it is Hangover Thursday. I forgot all about how bad it sucks to be hung over at work on Thursday. The constant craving for a McD0nalds breakfast sammy, the 8 million trips to the bathroom to release air from my beachball like belly, the total and complete lack of focu. . .

Like Hubby said on the way to work this morning, "Being hungover at work makes you appreciate how nice it is to feel good at work."

I get to work braced for the worst to find out that the creepy computer dude that worked next to me, was actually VERY creepy, he was indicted on charges involving child pornography. GROSS! To think about him makes me queasy, I swear it isn't the after effects of all of the micro brews I drank last night. Regardless, people who abuse children for sexual purposes should be dealt with in the most unpleasant manner possible, I will leave that up to the reader's imagination.

Then to beat that, Assistant Commissioner of the FDA, Susan Wood, who was in charge of women's health issues resigned in protest of the FDA's refusal to allow over-the-counter sales of emergency contraception. I respect her decision, I mean, can you imagine how frustrating, but leaving will just open a slot for Mike Levitt (the former Gov. of Utah, fmr Administrator of the EPA and current Sect. of Heath & Human Resources) to fill with one of his conservative ass monkeys. That is just what we need, a right wing ass monkey in charge of women's health issues at the FDA. Bold statement, Susan, but don't give up on us. Which one of us is shocked that the FDA's decision was based on politics and not science. It is the US government here people.

I promise more later, but now I am tired and thinking about f-ing McD0nalds again. Sigh.
